An event ambassador is usually the first point of contact for the event entrant.
The ambassador needs good people, and communication skills. They will also need a good knowledge of the event and the event logistics.
Many people may be new to the event or the area and might need additional information and a warm friendly face to assist them.
Main Purpose of Role
Lap The Lough (LTL) Ambassadors will assist with the running of the event by advising riders and spectators of relevant information. Ambassadors will be located at the Hill of the O’Neill in Dungannon, across Dungannon town, at some of the event parking sites and at feed stations in Gawley’s Inn (Co. Armagh), Antrim Gardens and Ballyronan marina (Co. Londonderry).

Welcome and direct riders and spectators at the Hill of the O’Neill
Direct riders to bike parking area
Assist with riders registration
Hand out complimentary merchandise to riders
Assist with tidy up and clear up of registration area
Advise members of public about route
Assist with the coordination of riders and spectators to help ensure safety of all
Alert key personnel to anything unusual on the route, be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the route
Supervise parking sites, be the “eyes and ears” and alert the security team of incidents
Welcome and direct riders to feed stations, assist with running and clear up
High level of customer service
Possible periods which will be very busy and then periods where it may be quiet
